Eugene Quah recently returned to Australia from Myanmar where he built, led and advised businesses and M&A transactions in education, mineral exploration, energy, infrastructure and software.
Before entering the private sector, Eugene was a consultant specialising in Myanmar legal and political affairs. He founded EDULINK, an education services company in Myanmar, and Eugene Quah & Associates, a boutique consulting firm whose clients included Myanmar conglomerates and ASX-listed and SSE-listed companies. Eugene also served on the board of Tin Htay International Exploration and Mining Services, an Australian mineral exploration services company, and as corporate advisor to Bindez, an AI-powered social media insights engine.
Eugene co-founded the Australia-Myanmar Chamber of Commerce (now AustCham Myanmar), and co-chaired the Government Relations Committee of the Myanmar Economic Forum, a Myanmar-based think tank. He was also a Co-founder and Director of the International Investors for Mineral Development Association (IIMDA).
Eugene graduated from the University of New South Wales with an LLB/BSc (Psychology).
